Done well — travel routes, product comparisons, statistics by place — each page carries unique, useful data. Done badly it produces thousands of thin, interchangeable pages, which Google's policies on scaled content abuse and doorway pages target.
The test is whether each page would be worth visiting if search engines did not exist.
