hreflang

Annotations telling search engines which language or regional version of a page to show to which users.

hreflang links equivalent pages across languages and regions (en-gb, en-us, de and so on). Each version must list all the others and itself, and the references must be reciprocal, or they are ignored. It helps the right version rank in each market; it does not make pages rank higher.
